CRAFTS

This audience sensation at Sven Harry's Art Museum had it all. Vibrant colors at the florist, the scent of wood and metal at the axe maker's, and the buzz of the needle at the tattoo artist's. Craftsmen from 10 different trades literally moved in with the exhibition Power Plant – craftsmanship in a new era. Visitors were welcomed into their temporary workshops at the museum to experience the power and feeling of modern Swedish craftsmanship. A craft that carries on traditions but is firmly rooted in its contemporary context.

The book.

Our inspiring encounters with these ten craftsmen also became a book. Writer Bo Madestrand captured the ideas, while photographer Klara G captured the hands and studios. Art director Pompe Hedengren brought together these creators' portraits, and the book won gold for its powerful expression.

The book can be ordered online and is published by Orfeus+Arvinius.
